RECENTLY AWARDED GRANTS

A team of WINLAB/ECE faculty members led by Professor Marco Gruteser (PI) has received a new $1.2M NSF award for the project titled "Reality-Aware Networks". This is a collaborative research project with Georgia State University and Old Dominion University. This project includes ECE Professors Narayan Mandayam and Kristin Dana as co-PIs at Rutgers as well as ECE alumni Ashwin Ashok and Shubham Jain, who are faculty members at the partner universities.


NSF Announces $22.5M Platforms for Advanced Wireless (PAWR) Grant awarded to the COSMOS project led by Rutgers, Columbia and NYU. The goal of the COSMOS project is to deploy an advanced wireless research testbed in New York City with a technology focus on ultra-high bandwidth and low latency wireless communication tightly coupled with edge computing. Our research focus is on new technologies which will enable the mobile Internet to achieve its early promise by continuing to scale in capacity while delivering innovative services in a secure and reliable manner. WINLAB is a cooperative industry-university research center which provides an open forum for collaboration and discussion on emerging wireless technologies and their applications.

Jiachen Chen and Prof. K. K. Ramakrishnan (from UC Riverside) participated in Tech-to-Protect Challenge (Nation-wide online contest). The project "Next-Gen MCPTT" (extended version of the project in TechToProtect New York Codeathon) won the 2nd prize (superior) and seed-round award. More Info .


WINLAB/ECE student Sumit Maheshwari participated in the 求推荐一个免费的vp. The team won third place in the challenge.


Prof. Jorge Ortiz joins WINLAB/ECE as an Assistant Professor with research interests in machine learning, IoT and cyberphysical systems.


WINLAB/ECE team including Sumit Maheshwari, Aayush Shah and Mohit Sheth won 2023 Juniper Comcast SDN throwdown competition. The Rutgers winner team received an opportunity to donate $5K on behalf of Rutgers to an STEM focused non-profit organization


WINLAB team led by Ivan Seskar (in collaboration with IMEC, Belgium) won a $750K award for 5th place at the DARPA Spectrum Collaboration Challenge (SC2).
